Royal Pines Resort is offering Gold Coast school students aged between 12 and 16 the opportunity to secure a fully funded sports scholarship for 2009. The Scholarships are aimed at those students whose current family circumstances may otherwise prevent them from experiencing tuition at this level.
ONE MALE SCHOLARSHIP AND ONE FEMALE SCHOLARSHIP WILL BE OFFERED.
In order to apply applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Applicants must be between the ages of 12 and 16 years (at date applications close)
- Applicants must hold a current Golflink handicap 24 or under
In addition, applicants are required to:
- Produce a copy of their mid year school report and demonstrate a steady level of academic progress.
- Submit a minimum of 2 written references in relation to their sporting achievements and commitment to sport (school teacher, sporting coach, or other referees who have witnessed sporting ability accepted.
The 2009 Golf Scholaships include rhe following:
One (1) 30 minute long practice session per week, conducted by a qualified PGA teaching professional One (1) 30 minute on-course practice session per week complimentary unlimited use of the Health Club (self only) One (1) 30 minute on-course practice session per week Personalised professional fitness program for unaccompanied gym sessions Quarterly fitness assessments and program evaluations Unlimited use of the Driving Range with complimentary ball hire (self only). 1 x 18-hole round of golf per week (for 2 pax) Golf at $40.00 per round including guests (to a maximum of 3) at the same rate An exclusive invitation to play in the Grand Final of the 2008 Royal Pines Resort Challenge Tournament entry fees for a 12 month program of agreed tournaments One (1) hour personal development, grooming and etiquette session conducted with a qualified trainer One (1) hour Media Handling Skills session conducted with a Public Relations professional Two (2) Royal Pines Resort branded golf shirts and two (2) Royal Pines Resort branded caps Six (6) dozen golf balls Retail discount of 15% (except Sale items) in Pro Shop 15% discount on services / treatments at the Angsana Spa & 10% discount on the retail prices of products at the Angsana Spa 2009 Golf Scholarship is valued over $20,000.00
