ALEX LLOYD - During the course of his illustrious career, the very talented and multi award winning singer/songwriter, Alex Lloyd, has achieved a phenomenal degree of success across Australia. Now having released his much anticipated fourth (& self titled) studio album, Alex is once again set to win over the masses with this next chapter in his recording life.
Featuring the massive radio hits, 'Never Meant To Fail' and 'The Wonder', this new self titled album recently released ( through Sony BMG) can be best described as an intricate and stunning cross between Alex's first two hugely successful albums ('Black The Sun' and 'Watching Angels Mend'). Following up on the airplay success of the first two singles from this album (which are still on high rotation on many stations across Australia), Alex's new single 'Brand New Day' is already spinning around the airwaves with major metropolitan stations and a host of major regional stations around the nation. The stunning and emotive 'Brand New Day' single will be accompanied by an epic film clip starring none other than the internationally acclaimed actor, David Wenham. The single will be available in stores from April 8 (through Sony BMG) with bonus tracks including a remix of 'Never Meant To Fail' and two previously unreleased tracks.
Having now become a household name, Alex Lloyd is, quite simply, one of the finest and most popular singer-songwriters Australia has produced. His three solo albums - 1999's 'Black The Sun', 2001's 'Watching Angels Mend' and 2003's 'Distant Light' - have collectively sold more than half a million copies and following the release of each album Alex has been awarded an ARIA for Best Male Artist (2000, 2001, 2003).
