The Gold Coast is in for a treat on Saturday 21 June, as one of Australian television's hottest Chef's makes a special one night only appearance at RACV Royal Pines Resort.
The Resort is flying Irish Chef Darren Simpson to the coast for a special guest chef dinner titled The Man & The Menu.
Whilst known more recently for guest appearances on Ready Steady Cook, stints as the resident chef on Sunrise, and as the judge of the hit show My Restaurant Rules, Darren's record is as impressive off screen as it is on screen.
At the tender age of 21 Darren was named UK's Young Chef of the Year and was the youngest ever chef to win the prestigious annual award open to all UK chefs under the age of 25, a feat no other Chef is yet to top.
Simpson dares to 'keep it simple'. His culinary principle revolves around the unyielding belief and respect of delivering an experience to his customers. His dishes are personally designed to reflect the freshest variety of Australian seasonal produce.
In June, Darren will work along side the Resort's Executive Chef William Baulch to present a 4-course degustation menu, each course accompanied by a glass of wine specially selected to enhance the flavours of the cuisine.
The Man & The Menu event will give you the opportunity to meet the man, explore the menu and be taken on a culinary journey as Darren, with his cheekily infectious Irish charm, explains the history and intricacies of each dish he presents.
Tickets to the guest chef dinner in the Resort's ballroom are only $99 per person. Seats are limited however, so we suggest you get in now to avoid disappointment.
