Is there an art to the BBQ?

Wed Apr 23 2008

Back by popular demand, RACV Royal Pines Resort's Executive Chef William Baulch is hosting the second ever Gourmet Barbeque Cooking Class on Sunday 27April.

Proving there is an art to creating brilliant backyard dishes the class will teach BBQ enthusiasts the skills to sizzle up a storm, and with terrific outdoor grills for everyone to learn on, be prepared for a very hands-on experience.

With the Resort's picturesque new look swimming pool area as a backdrop the gourmet class will be held from 3pm ? 6pm on the stunning poolside deck that overlooks the tropical paradise and sails of Kalinda Restaurant.

In the traditional theme of an Aussie BBQ the menu for the day is simple and includes a great variety of ingredients including fillet steak, chicken breast, lamb fillets and fresh local seafood.

BBQ students will also learn to create recipes of their own to try at home such as a special salmon fillet with Asian flavours and greens accompanied with grilled tarragon infused green and white asparagus.

The beauty of a cooking class in this format is that you get to eat what you create. Great value the class is only $115 per person including a sumptuous gourmet BBQ with a selection of beers and wines, salads, and Chef essentials such as an apron, hat and a recipe book that are all yours to keep.

Those wanting to get savvy with a pair of tongs and celebrate our much envied Queensland lifestyle at this exciting new cooking class are encouraged to book now to avoid disappointment. Limited positions are available so phone (07) 5597 1111 today.
