Roger Tyzzer, Director of Pro Experience Tennis has been recognised as one of Australia's most successful tennis coaches. As Head Coach of the South Australian Sports Institute, he was instrumental in the development of former world number #1 Lleyton Hewitt, and world number #9 Alicia Molik. For more than a decade the institute program was the most successful developmental program in Australia and today still leads the way in producing world-class players. Roger spent time on both the men's and women's tours with Lleyton and Alicia.
Roger took a uniquely visionary approach with his tennis program, initially taking on the establishment, questioning the coaching methods, setting international standards, educating the parents, redefining attitudes towards winning and losing, challenging the athletes and focusing on the person. As a consequence, he developed not only the youngest world champion in the history of the game, but also some other 'champions' in a variety of differing fields.
During the 2000 Olympic year Roger was awarded the prestigious Australian Sports Medal for his contributions to Australian tennis.
Roger has spent the past few years travelling on the world tennis circuit and enjoying the many achievements of his athletes. He now shares his success within Australia, Asia and the United States through his many speaking engagements, primarily to elite coaching organizations, tennis academies, parent and educational seminars, Olympic organizations, Young Presidents Organizations as well as a variety of business groups.
Roger has recently joined Royal Pines with Pro Experience Tennis where he conducts a boutique academy program. Additional programs, for juniors of all levels, adults' clinics and private lessons, holiday camps and Pee Wee programs are conducted by the Pro Experience Head Pro Coaching Staff.
